How to setup a new Subdomain in the DirectAdmin Control Panel

Sub Domains are used to setup different subsections at a single domain. For example, Hardlines has it's main website at http://www.hardlines.com. However, this page is being read from http://support.hardlines.com. Support is a subdomain of hardlines.com. You can then place all content for your new subdomain site in the folder off your public_html (ex. /home/youradmin/public_html/support). Complete usage statistics are available for each of the seperate subdomains.

  1. Login to the DirectAdmin Control Panel (located at http://da1.hardlines.com or http://www.yourdomain.com/admin).

  2. In the Username field, type your administrator username.
  3. In the Password field, type your administrator password, and click Login.
  4. Once logged in, your screen will look like this:

  5. Under the Main Menu field, select Manage Subdomains .

  6. Enter your sub domain name in Add Subdomain field.
  7. Click the Create button.

  8. Note: After creation of your subdomain, you can then view the usage statistics, delete a subdomain, or create another subdomain from this screen.
